📚 We would like to invite you to the next meeting of the „Literary Discount” series, this time devoted to the book „On the Future of Species: Authoring Life by Means of Artificial Intelligence,” which has just been published in the UK and the US by Bloomsbury Publishing and MIT Press.
Artificial intelligence is most often discussed today in the context of its impact on humans. However, questions are increasingly being raised about its role in shaping the natural world. Will we create entirely new species thanks to AI? How far can we go in modifying nature? Where is the line between development and risk?
During the meeting, we will talk about the future of life in the age of artificial intelligence, the possibilities of biological engineering of the future, and the ethical challenges we all already face.
The meeting will be chaired by Agata Sagan.
📖 In addition, we will explain terms that appear in the book, such as Artificial Biological Intelligence, informione, morphora or artivolution.
Feel free to join the discussion!
