Kimchi in Onggi 2025 - behind us!
It was an amazing Saturday at PAN Botanical Garden in Powsin. Thank you to everyone who came on November 15 and explored the flavors, smells and colors of Korea with us.
What was going on?
▪️ Together we prepared kimchi in traditional onggi dishes, which is now maturing in the ground.
▪️ We admired an exhibition of hanji paper masks and learned about their symbolism.
▪️ We viewed and touched the original onggi vessels, learning about their history.
▪️ Many of you have tried on hanbok, the traditional Korean costume!
▪️ We tasted Korean teas and dishes in the gastro area - it tasted delicious.
▪️ And finally, according to ancient tradition, we buried kimchi, which will ripen in the ground until spring!
Why was it special?
Because we didn't just cook - we learned, had fun and moved into the world of Korean tradition. The atmosphere was full of joy, curiosity and shared discovery.
Thank you to all participants, organizers from ONGGI Cultural Association Poland-Korea and partners of the event. See you at future events!
