Do we have moral obligations toward plants?
On September 20 at 4:00 p.m., we invite you to Botanica Café for a discussion of Kate Brelje’s book *Plant-Inclusive Care Ethics*. Agata Sagan will moderate the discussion.
Can plants be the subject of our moral obligations? Does the way we care for them have ethical significance? Or is it enough simply to protect them as part of the natural environment as a whole?
Kate Brelje’s book addresses these questions by proposing a minimalist approach to the ethics of caring for plants. During the meeting, we’ll discuss how we perceive plants and our relationships with them. We’ll also take a look at what was written about plants in Poland as early as the 19th century.
