You are cordially invited to a meeting devoted to a book on eucalypts published late last year in the UK. Its author is a prominent Australian researcher from the University of Western Australia, an expert not only on eucalypts, but also on the entire Australian flora. Based on the information presented in it, as well as other sources, I will tell a little about these absolutely amazing trees and shrubs, of which, unfortunately, about 1/4 are now threatened with extinction. I will also highlight the theme raised in the book about the attitude of Australia's indigenous people towards eucalyptus trees, from which there is much to learn, especially when it comes to their conservation.
As an added attraction, after the meeting you will be able to see an original picture of „Bush Medicine” (Bush Medicine) painted by an Aboriginal woman using the traditional dotting method. It was purchased in Alice Springs while traveling on the continent.
