We organized ERICALIA—an art contest for children and teenagers focused on plants of the Ericaceae family (heath family). We received 97 entries, which we displayed at the Botanica Cafe & Bistro garden café.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the children and teenagers who participated, as well as to the parents, teachers, and art club advisors for supporting these young people and encouraging them to develop their talents and passions. Staff members of the Polish Academy of Sciences Botanical Garden in Powsin selected the winning entries in three age categories through a secret ballot.
We’re announcing the results as soon as possible so as not to keep the young artists in suspense, and we’ll be contacting the winners directly in the coming week to arrange for the pickup of their prizes.
- In the grades 1–3 category, entry No. 38 took first place, entry No. 33 took second place, and entry No. 3 took third place.
- In the grades 4–8 category, entry No. 64 took first place, entry No. 69 took second place, and entry No. 67 took third place.
- In the high school category, entry No. 93 took first place, entry No. 92 took second place, and entry No. 94 took third place.

See for yourselves what a difficult choice we faced! We warmly invite all visitors to come see the exhibition, and we invite the artists to take a selfie next to their work.
