We invite you to participate in III Competition for the Heaviest Pumpkin, the adjudication of which will take place on October 19 at the PAN Botanical Garden - CZRB in Powsin.
The goal of the competition is:
- Popularization of pumpkin cultivation and its nutritional value;
- Exchange of breeding experience among the participants of the Competition;
- Education on growing and caring for pumpkins;
- Promoting the principles of sustainable development.
Weighing of the pumpkins, announcement of the results and presentation of awards will take place on October 19 at 13:00 during the Pumpkin Day celebration. The jury will select the heaviest pumpkin from among the submitted pumpkins, and its grower will be awarded a prize of 4,500 thousand zlotys by the Director of the PAN Botanical Garden - Center for the Preservation of Biological Diversity in Powsin.
At the same time, prizes will be awarded:
II - 3,400 PLN gross
III - 2300 PLN gross
IV - 1600 PLN gross
V - PLN 1100 gross,
As well as three awards of PLN 800, PLN 600 and PLN 300 gross.
In the "Children's" category, material prizes will be awarded for the first three places.
The pumpkins will be weighed by committee and the results made public.
