Why do some plant species spread widely and others disappear? How is biodiversity changing over time and space? Answers to these questions are being sought by the international research network EcoFracNet (Ecological Fractal Network), to which the<\/span>cruise was joined by the Botanical Garden of the Polish Academy of Sciences.<\/p>\n

As part of the project, we are conducting field research in Kosewo, where, under the guidance of Prof. Arkadiusz Nowak and Dr. Marcin Kotowski, we have completed the collection of floristic and ecological data according to the standard EcoFracNet protocol. It consists in analyzing the species composition of vegetation in twenty-seven measurement squares, arranged in a planned fractal structure. Such a method makes it possible to compare biodiversity variability both locally and on a global scale.<\/p>\n

Our data from Kosevo goes to the project's international database, contributing to the global picture of changes in nature.<\/p>\n

Participation in EcoFracNet is not only a contribution to science, but also a collaboration with researchers from around the world and an opportunity to contribute to scientific publications based on shared data.<\/p>\n
