On June 29, 2021, Prof. Jerzy Puchalski, long-time director of the PAS Botanical Garden - Center for the Preservation of Biological Diversity in Powsin, planted a commemorative tree of the 'Somei-Yoshino' Jedoene cherry tree -. Prunus<\/em> \u00d7yedoensis<\/em> 'Somei-Yoshino'on the grounds of one of PAN Botanical Garden's newer collections - Reiwa Sakura Garden. Reiwa (Japanese for beautiful harmony).<\/p>\n

The planting of the commemorative tree was a surprise prepared by the Garden's current directors for the retiring Prof. Dr. Jerzy Puchalski - long-time director of the PAN Botanical Garden - CZRB in Powsin in 1989-2017.<\/p>\n

We express our gratitude for the effort he has put into the functioning of the Garden over the years, and wish the Professor to visit the Garden as often as possible and share his vast experience and knowledge. We will be grateful for any guidance and advice.<\/p>\n
