It was initiated by Botanic Gardens Conservation International, the International Association of Botanic Gardens and Botanic Gardens Australia and New Zealand.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The association aims to promote climate research and action. In the next 50 years, 20-50% plant landscapes and urban spaces will experience the highest temperatures ever measured. This will require huge efforts to secure and increase collections of endangered and useful plants\u00a0<em>ex situ<\/em>.
