The Council meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Division II of Biological and Agricultural Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences Prof. Dr. Romuald Zabielski (also a member of the RN), who personally presented all those present with appointments to the Scientific Council for a four-year term falling in 2023-2026.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the first part of the meeting - the election part - the Presidium of the Council was elected, with Prof. Dr. Romuald Zabielski as chairman. Prof. Dr. Mariusz Pisku\u0142a and Prof. Dr. Andrzej Jagodzi\u0144ski were elected as deputy chairmen. The function of Secretary of the Council was assumed by Prof. Anna Miku\u0142a, PhD.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the following part, the facility's director - Prof. Dr. Arkadiusz Nowak - discussed the activities carried out at the PAS Botanical Garden in 2022, as well as the activity plan for 2023 in the field of science and conservation activities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the end of the meeting, all participants were invited to the ceremonial unveiling of the plaque of the Marceli Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology of the Polish Academy of Sciences in the alley of Institutes of the Second Faculty of Biological and Agricultural Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences and to view the exhibition accompanying the publication of the book \"Tajik Melting Pot.
