It describes the effect of different wavelengths of light emitted by LEDs (Light-Emitting Diode, light-emitting diode) on micropropagation and development of tree ferns <em>Cyathea delgadii<\/em> in cultures <em>in vitro<\/em> and on the accumulation of photosynthetic pigments and secondary metabolites in its tissues. Blue light (430 nm) stimulated plant proliferation and had a positive effect on the number and length of leaves. In contrast, its effect on root elongation was unfavorable. The longest roots were formed under red light (670 nm) and control light - emitted by fluorescent lamps. In addition, plants growing under blue light accumulated photosynthetic pigments to the highest degree. Extracts from these plants also had the highest content of such secondary metabolites as rutin and isocquercetin.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The publication also describes the effect of a wide spectrum of light length on the efficiency of somatic embryogenesis on fern petiole explants.
