Nowak, Dr. S. Swierszcz), an article was published describing the first comprehensive classification of the communities of maws and springs of the Irano-Turanian region (Applied Vegetation Science, <a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1111\/avsc.12571\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1111\/avsc.12571<\/a>). Among the authors is Prof. Alireza Naqinezhad of Babolsar University in Iran, whom we hosted at the 2019 seminar in Powsin.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The work includes data from more than 1,000 sites scattered across the Pamiro-Alay, Tien-Shan and Elbursu mountains of Iran, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. Based on a partially controlled classification of k-means, 20 assemblages, four associations and one order of vegetation of maws and springs have been distinguished. They occur on overhangs, subtidal and lake basins at elevations from 1,300 to 4,505 m. They are built by 675 species of vascular plants and bryophytes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The classification of miller and spring vegetation shows the richness and diversity of this habitat, which is unique in the rarified region, and is the basis for its effective protection.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-9822 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ogrod.pan.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/region-Irano-Turanski.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"680\" \/><\/p>\n<p>post<\/p>\n<p>post<\/p>\n<p>2021-02-24 12:48:05<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Z inicjatywy pracownik\u00f3w Ogrodu (prof.
