{"id":66720,"date":"2024-09-06T12:39:49","date_gmt":"2024-09-06T10:39:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ogrod-powsin.pl\/?p=66720"},"modified":"2024-09-06T13:02:33","modified_gmt":"2024-09-06T11:02:33","slug":"iii-contest-for-the-heaviest-pumpkin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ogrod.pan.pl\/en\/iii-konkurs-na-najciezsza-dynie\/","title":{"rendered":"III Competition for the Heaviest Pumpkin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We invite you to participate in <strong>III Competition for the Heaviest Pumpkin<\/strong>, the adjudication of which will take place on October 19 at the PAN Botanical Garden - CZRB in Powsin.<\/p>\n<p>The goal of the competition is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Popularization of pumpkin cultivation and its nutritional value;<\/li>\n<li>Exchange of breeding experience among the participants of the Competition;<\/li>\n<li>Education on growing and caring for pumpkins;<\/li>\n<li>Promoting the principles of sustainable development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Weighing of the pumpkins, announcement of the results and presentation of awards will take place on October 19 at 13:00 during the Pumpkin Day celebration. The jury will select the heaviest pumpkin from among the submitted pumpkins, and its grower will be awarded a prize of 4,500 thousand zlotys by the Director of the PAN Botanical Garden - Center for the Preservation of Biological Diversity in Powsin.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, prizes will be awarded:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;II - 3,400 PLN gross<br \/>\nIII - 2300 PLN gross<br \/>\nIV - 1600 PLN gross<br \/>\nV - PLN 1100 gross,<br \/>\nAs well as three awards of PLN 800, PLN 600 and PLN 300 gross.<\/p>\n<p>In the \"Children's\" category, material prizes will be awarded for the first three places.<br \/>\nThe pumpkins will be weighed by committee and the results made public.<\/p>\n<p>Downloadable materials:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ogrod.pan.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/konkurs_dynia_19.10.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">contest rules<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ogrod.pan.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Zgloszenie-do-udzialu-w-Konkursie-na-najwieksza-dynie1.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">competition entry<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Applications are invited at: ob.konkursy@gmail.com<\/p>\n<p>Pumpkin Day is also <strong>fair<\/strong> agricultural products, preserves and handicrafts, so all exhibitors willing to participate in this event are welcome to attend.
